If your answer is that you never get angry, allow us to be doubtful. It\u2019s quite human to get angry, it\u2019s a state like any other and a personal balance requires both positive and negative states. Whether we talk about a financial growth or about improving inter-personal relationships or about knowing ourselves better, personal development has to offer something concrete, something practical and it has to be a guide through our journey towards our objective.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why we\u2019re not going to talk about how to get rid of anger and rage but rather about methods through which we can become calmer and through which we can better adjust emotionally in order to maintain a constant personal balance. But this doesn\u2019t mean we have to entirely give up on being angry and just be cheerful all the time, because the extremes are the ones that are always going to create imbalance. Therefore, let\u2019s get down to work and try out a couple of exercise through which we become calmer in our day-to-day life:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Meditation<\/strong> is a very strong exercise that helps maintaining a general personal balance, not just when it comes to negative emotions. That\u2019s why we recommend every day meditation. How can we successfully meditate? This is a topic we\u2019re going to separately tackle, in a future article. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Deep breathing<\/strong> is essential the moment we get angry. Through deep breathing the oxygenation of our organism is encouraged and the negative emotions disperse. This is especially valid for those who seldom get angry but when they do, it\u2019s serious. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t interiorize negative feelings.<\/strong> Some of us have the tendency to get upset or angry and keep it all inside. More than that, we keep the anger in for quite a while. That\u2019s why it\u2019s a good idea to get rid of all those negative feelings. How can we do that? A good method is to concentrate on the good sides of the person that annoyed us or to focus our thoughts on the positive side of that person or event. Even a printer that\u2019s ruining your day might have some qualities. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Use logic.<\/strong> Even if it might prove to be difficult to use your logic when you\u2019re angry try to be aware of the fact that the world is not against you. Even if it\u2019s hard at the beginning, try to acknowledge and analyze things rationally. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Visualize images.<\/strong> The moment you feel you\u2019re beginning to become angry and rage is approaching, try to project in your mind a positive image, a positive memory. This way you\u2019re going to diverge your focus from the nerves and keep your personal balance. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Muscular relaxation.<\/strong> If we can\u2019t reach personal balance merely through mental stimulation, it\u2019s time for sport. The straining and relaxation of the muscles, one by one, helps relaxing the body and leads to immediate calming. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Improve communication abilities. <\/strong> We know you don\u2019t always get angry because of yourself, but clearly your communication abilities might substantially decrease the risk of getting angry. But about this we\u2019re going to talk in a different article. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Constant exercise.<\/strong> Constant exercise doesn\u2019t just help maintaining a physical equilibrium but also a personal and emotional one. Sport activities have a beneficial effect and help lose tension in the body and the mind, along with all the other benefits. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Be aware of the factors that that trigger your nerves and avoid them.<\/strong> We don\u2019t have to tell you this, you already know which the things that can drive you mad are. But it\u2019s good to actively acknowledge them and avoid them. Recognize the signals, be aware that you can get angry in that situation and avoid the situation. Why ponder upon how to calm yourself when you can just prevent the whole situation?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4306\" src=\"https:\/\/digital-life-solutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/echilibru-personal-3.png\" alt=\"calm and aware of our facts and emotions\" width=\"226\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digital-life-solutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/echilibru-personal-3.png 390w, https:\/\/digital-life-solutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/echilibru-personal-3-300x268.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These being said, we\u2019ll certainly be calmer and more aware of our actions and emotions.
