We all want to have a successful business, but how many of us are really prepared for such a mission? Do you find out the recipe for success and apply it to your business? Then we invite you to have a coffee and be part of an extensive conversation on how to build a successful business.
A successful business is made of plenty of ingredients: feelings, desires, money, energy, and tears of joy, tears of sadness, failure, success and so forth. The list is so long that each one of us has a different definition for what a successful business actually means. And this way we get to our first crucial ingredient of a profitable business, regardless of the field of activity.
Why?
This is a fundamental question that gives birth to a prosperous business. Why do you want to build a business? Why are you interested in a creating a successful business? Any project requires a reason, a dream, and the world of business is no different. Any successful business has to satisfy either a need of the community or a need of yours. Identify that need of the community and serve it.
Let me give you a practical example: I know someone who started offering beauty services in her own village. At first, the idea was seen rather reluctantly, but in the end it proved to be quite a successful business. That village, just like many other from Romania, has a huge percentage of people that are gone abroad and they return home during the summer. And when they return they attend wedding, christenings and god-father ships. These are events where the ladies need a beautician (make-up, hairstyling and so on). Hence, here’s how an idea that was viewed quite reluctantly, became an imposing success merely thought covering a need that the community had. Until this service came into existence, the ladies had to travel to the first town in order to find a beauty salon, which was 15 km away.
The best time to begin a business is yesterday
I’ve recently had a conversation with a gentleman in his 30s who told me, with great regret, that he doesn’t understand why people who are less smart than he is managed to open a business. And how he is in this situation for five years now while other change their cars every third year, whereas he’s been driving the same rusty car for five years. The answer is quite simple: unlike him, the others understood that a successful business is about action, not just theory. People that comprehended that no matter how much theory they’d know, no matter how many books they’d read or how many seminars they’d attend, without practice it’s all just a waste of time. It doesn’t matter where you begin it just matters that you actually do begin. That’s why it’s essential to begin your journey as soon as possible and stop waiting for the right moment, since that right moment will never seem to come.
A successful business give you the freedom of working 12 hours a day.
If you really want a successful business, then you’re going to have to be prepared to get down to work. If you have the feeling that a business means no longer having to be actively or directly involved, then you’re not yet ready for entrepreneurship. Any business that will flourish and bring results asks from you for an exceptional work ethic. An ethic of your work that will place you on the stage of the most hardworking people from your company.
Is there any shortcut?
Unfortunately, no.
Therefore, for starts, we need a reason to begin a business, we need to get down to work as soon as possible, and the moment we start working we have to give out 110%.
